Whether you are overwhelmed with work and school assignments, anxious to perform well in exams or feeling like you should have more time to play sports and to spend with friends, I can provide a supportive environment where you are able to thrive in school and, at the same time, make the most of your teenage life.
Whether you are looking for insights into the IB system, strategies to support your teen's academic growth, or seeking guidance on fostering a positive learning environment at home, I am here to provide the support and knowledge needed. Together, we can ensure a collaborative effort between parents and the student, creating an environment that enhances academic success and personal development during this crucial phase of their education.
I offer individual and group coaching sessions. The group sessions are only two students maximum.
I possess relevant teaching certifications, coaching certification and a deep understanding of the IB framework. But more importantly, after 26 years of teaching in the IB framework, I’ve seen student after student struggling to maintain a balanced (and healthy) life throughout those years.
The IBDP and IBMYP are rigorous and demanding programmes that require the student to submit consistent work, be organised and manage their time effectively. The coaching service I offer teaches the IB student these crucial skills to succeed in these programmes.
The main challenges of the IB programme (both MYP and DP) are the continuous inquiry tasks translated into a variety of assignments (essays, oral presentations, tests, research projects). I am well-versed in the challenges that IB students face and I provide targeted assistance in areas such as time management, exam preparation, motivation, that are crucial for progressing and being successful in both programmes.
All that is needed is a stable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and access to common video conferencing platforms.

During the sign-up process, you can specify the subjects in which your child needs assistance. Most probably, if the child has specific gaps in their learning or there are specific subject skills they need to learn, your child might need private tutoring for that specific subject. However, there are cases where the child is struggling with a specific subject, and the coaching process will give clarity on the steps the student needs to take in order to improve on that subject and it will motivate them to take those steps. When the students take these steps, the student will eventually improve their performance and will also have learned life skills (such as, politely ask teachers for specific guidance, asking peers for support, using tools to make effective revision). In this case, hiring a private tutor might not be necessary in the end.
Parents will receive a weekly email with the summary of what was discussed in the session. If parents or IB Coach have any concerns or questions, these will be discussed openly with the student. If the parent or coach feels the need to schedule a meeting without the student, this can happen but it will be in exceptional cases as this can jeopardize the relationship of trust between the coach and the student. We strongly believe in transparency and open communication.
Anytime between MYP1 (grade 6 or year 7) and DP 2 (grade 12 or year 13). The IB is a very rigorous programme and it is crucial that the students know how to plan the work ahead, how to manage the time, and how to organise their study time. The earlier a student learns these skills, the more equipped they will be to walk the IB journey with confidence.
Some students find it hard to maintain the consistent level of academic work demanded by both the MYP and DP programmes. The coaching process provides accountability and, as a consequence, the students work effectively, not procrastinate, meet deadlines and cope with the overall IB demands. As they learn these skills, students also learn that this journey does not have to be stressful and painful.

The Coach will be sending the parents weekly emails with the topics that were discussed in the session. In addition, parent/ carer will most probably observe an improvement in the study routines and habits of your son/daughter over time. If this communication is not sufficient, parent/carer can always contact the Coach directly. However, in order for the IB student to feel ownership of this process, the communication between coach, parents and student should be very transparent. This means, if the coach or the parents feel the need to talk to each other, this is most effective in the presence of the student as well. The concerns and questions will be discussed openly amongst the three parties. If the parent or coach feels the need to schedule a meeting without the student, this can happen but it will be in exceptional cases as this can jeopardize the relationship of trust between the coach and the student. Anytime between MYP1 (grade 6 or year 7) and DP 2 (grade 12 or year 13). Although the IB is a very rigorous programme, the student does not need to be highly intelligent and a quick leaner to be successful. It is crucial that the students knows how to plan the work ahead, how to manage the time, how to organise their study time. The earlier a student learns these skills, the more equipped they will be to walk the IB journey with confidence.
